bEGINNING OF THE iNVASION
The British Invasion was a phenomenon in the mid-1960s when British rock-and-roll and beat groups became prevalent in American popular music industry for more than 20 years, and also could be seen in the culture of Americans. It involved the total domination of AM radio and domination of British artists within the music industry, recycling the American versions of rock-and roll-and blues in the 1950s.

The most powerful and inflencial driving force in the British Invasion was The Beatles. Historically, the British Invasion starts on Febuary 7, 1964, when The Beatles first arrived in the US to begin their touring. Americans commonly refer to the British Invasion as "Beatlemania".
